Vent-medis, Patient Administration Kits (P.A.K.’s), are fully registered and approved for human use by the relevant Australian licensing authority (A.R.T.G. 319260). Each of the components including the high-purity, carbon contacts are fully registered.

Carbon Crucible.
Vent-medis kits include high-purity, large volume, carbon crucibles. The 0.3ml bowl capacity of Vent-medis crucibles lets you load more activity onto the crucible thereby reducing the number of simmers required to achieve the desired activity. This saves time and reduces operator radiation exposure.
50 carbon crucibles are supplied with each box of Vent-medis kits and they come in a secure and robust packing for added protection.

Solid Carbon, high-purity, carbon contacts
Each box of 50 sets of Vent-medis, Patient Administration Kits (P.A.K.’S) includes one set of solid carbon, high-purity, carbon contacts. The contacts are very robust and come in a carefully packaged container for added security. The contacts fit the generator specifications and have demonstrated their reliability and effectiveness in several hundred thousand patients in Germany.

Each box of 50 Vent-medis, P.A.K.’s also contains an inhalation unit with several non-return valves for patient safety, to prevent inadvertent release of radioactive gas into the atmosphere and contamination of the Technegas generator. It also contains a 15 mm diameter, 1 meter-long smooth bore tube and special generator connector.
The greater diameter tube facilitates patient comfort.
A nose clip and rigid mouth piece complete the set.
Vent-Medis Kits
Vent-medis kits include the improved high-purity, high-volume carbon crucible with a 0.3ml bowl capacity. This crucible saves time and minimises multiple simmers allowing the use of dilute Tc-99m generator elutions thus reducing operator radiation exposure.
The inhalation breathing unit contains an exhalation filter, T-piece with two-way valve, a robust one meter smooth-bore tubing with 15mm inner diameter and the special generator connection. A rigid mouthpiece and a nose clip complete the set.
With every Vent-medis box you get one pair of high-purity carbon contacts for 50 scintigraphic examinations. The carbon contacts are very robust and fit the Generator specifications with great contact reliability.
Vent-medis kits have a larger volume crucible which means more efficient use of dilute Tc-99m eluate, time and cost saving, less radiation through reduced simmers, improved and more reliable crucible contact, more rugged design, improved packaging and major price advantage.
